A collection of randomness, things I love and find inspiring. Currently a blog to help me become strong and Fit the healthy way. =D

Hmmm, How long after I eat should I wait to go for a run?

Also. Here is a PSA Don’t sit in your car in the gym/mall parking lot eating a banana, people will look at you funny and then avoid you whilst at the gym.

Lunch! Lean ground beef with veggies & low sodium beef broth mixed with a half cup of brown rice.

Hardboiling eggs and making brown rice for lunches & snacks this week. Hooray for being healthy on the cheap

I messed around with using my new exercise ball. I think I got one that was a bit too big for me, but I’ll make it work. I have terrible balance.. holy crap.

Now its time to do some yoga!!

For anyone interested. My calorie count was: 1050. (remember I am only 4’8” and I am trying to lose weight) Fitness burned approx: 235( according to web MD) for a total of: 815.

59% carb

20% fat

25 % Protein

Once I get some more cash I will be able to have something other than pasta for lunch. :D  Pretty good for being on a grocery budget of $12. and working with what I have at home.

I worked my ass off today :D  I ran 2 miles on the elliptical in 18:50. A new personal record for me. And then did another 1/3 mile cool down. Afterwards My friend and I did some ab stuff for about 15 minutes and then we stretched.

So today, I decided to check out “bodyrock.tv’s” new thing, the daily hiit.

Let me give you some background. I started off with bodyrock about 2 years ago. I ended up making a bunch of progress. But then, they turned into drama central. With Zuzana leaving and the new host. It was kind of a mess in my opinion. (P.S. I love Zuzana;s new thing! I am going to buy her DVD set when I have the extra cash)

Anyway, I found the new host to be kind of annoying, and it seemed like bodyrock was pushing to get people to buy equipment. The camera angles were annoying and I couldn’t follow along at all. So I stopped and got a gym membership, ran a 5k and followed Zuzana’s ZWOW’s when they started.

I still check and see what kind of things they do now. They have updated a whole bunch of things and now they are  called the Daily Hiit. The names are toned down just a teeny bit from the racy sexual names they used to use for their workouts. I have only watched a few videos but they seem to be doing better at showing what exactly you are supposed to do. And there is a lot less nonsense. Yes they are still pushing for equipment, but usually I can figure out a way to use things I already have.

Today I did this one: http://www.dailyhiit.com/videos/breakdown/cuter-butt-hiitmax-4

I used a 5 lb dumbell for a few of the exercises and I also used my 10lb kettle bell for some.

It was pretty awesome and I will be checking back from time to time. I still like the ZWOW’s better.

Late Lunch: Toasted Tuna Sammich :) An Episode of Supernatural and then a workout.

So Today I went Grocery shopping. I am quite pleased with myself. I have really slipped off the horse when it comes to my health. I’ve been really short on money and time lately. Thankfully the business has started to taper down and its time to get off my ass.

I did run a 9 minute mile on the elliptical the other day. ( The small victories matter a bunch at the moment)

I got:

4 apples

6 bananas

1 green bell pepper

some bagels and cream cheese

romaine lettuce

cottage cheese

and light italian dressing. all for just over 12 Dollars. Yay!!

I will post my meal plan this week a bit later. Hooray for getting healthy again. Even if it is going to be on a teeny tiny budget.

I just have an Ultimate Goal for 2013. And that goal is to find peace and happiness with my body and the way I look.

I started off 2012 working out everyday and being obsessed with how fit I must become. I became obsessed with counting calories and keeping track of everything I did, like keeping track of it would help the pounds come off faster. I wasn’t very happy and I was very impatient. I felt bad anytime I ate something like a cookie or some pizza. This was until a few months ago when I started to realize that I should just live my life. I like to exercise and I don’t want to turn it into a chore for myself.

I accomplished a lot this year. I ran my First 5k, which was also A WARRIOR DASH! I finished in 46:53. I am immensely proud of myself for that accomplishment.

I am starting to find peace with my body and my curves.

I have made gains in my lifting.

I am stronger.

I climbed a mountain quite a few times this summer.

I have my own apartment now.

I discovered a lot about my relationships and went through hardships with my family.

I am 21 years old, I have had the same 40 hour a week job for 2 years and a half years.

I am starting to love who I am. I am not as depressed as I used to be.

I am not who I thought I would be a year ago, but I am rather pleased with that.

I am not as fit and I wanted to be, but that’s okay. I’ll get there at my own pace.

My goal for 2013 is, as I said in the beginning of this post: To find happiness and peace with my body, my curves, and myself.

Honestly, I’m thinking about canceling my gym membership. I’ve had it for almost a year and yes I’ve made some gains, but I’ve noticed there are somethings I won’t do. Working out in public, it is a bit intimidating, and when someone is using a machine I usually won’t approach anywhere near them, which has put a damper on some of the things I want to do.

I plan on using the money I would normally spend each month on the gym to start buying my own dumbbells, barbells, and other equipment. I work out my best at home alone, because I’m not being worried about what people will think.

I think it will help me make improvements faster, as long as I set a schedule up so I don’t slack off.

…ugh. I’ve been stuck at 84 pounds for like 2 months. Mehhhh. When do I get to see the muscles I’ve been working for?
