I had so much fun at the 5k today!! Strider tired out  very quickly so we walked. I’m just happy I got to benefit the shelter and wear my friends dog out for her :)

I’m running a 5k this weekend! Yay!! Its for our animal shelter, which is pretty exciting, there’s gonna be puppies and kittens and dogs!!!! 

The animal shelter where I live is no longer owned by the county, its a private organization AND a NO KILL shelter!! Which makes it all the better, they are raising money to build their new facility which will have a lot more room for the animals and be much cleaner than when the county had control over it! 

Yayy Went for a run today, its been a lil while. I don’t know how far I ran but I know I gave my max effort and thats what counts :) 

Hmmm, How long after I eat should I wait to go for a run?

I really really wish I could afford to do the warrior dash again this year. 

I worked my ass off today :D  I ran 2 miles on the elliptical in 18:50. A new personal record for me. And then did another 1/3 mile cool down. Afterwards My friend and I did some ab stuff for about 15 minutes and then we stretched. 

AHHHH FUZZY VIKING HELMET!! I had an awesome time at the warrior dash! I finished in 46min:52sec I came in 258 in my age bracket (women 20-29) out of 1135 ! so proud of myself. I think it is pretty good for my first 5k ever!

7 MORE WEEKS

Ahhh!!! I’m so excited 7 more weeks until the Warrior Dash!!! So much running in these next 7 weeks :D and I also need to get my ass back into the gym….Must lift heavy things.

Today!!! :D in about 50 minutes  Yay! 

Also, now that I got their website to work, I am officially registered for the Warrior Dash! 

I wonder if its cool to go run 3 miles while I have bronchitis…… I kinda want to anyways. 

After all the Warrior Dash is August 18th. I only have till then to train. 

Next weekend I am signing up for the Warrior Dash 5k :D 

I am nervous as hell but I want to do it! 

It will be my first 5k. Have any of you guys ran one?

If so does anyone have any tips for training?
